Cherry Blossom, Birding in Doi Inthanon, Doi Lang, Doi Pha Hom Pok National Park, Northern Thailand near Chiang Mai. From the highest peak in Thailand at Doi Inthanon (2565m), we traveled along the border of Thailand and Myanmar along Doi Lang and Doi Pha Hom Pok National Park in search of mountain birds. The weather in January was between 7-15 degree C, with crisp and cold air in the early morning but towards noon time, the temperature climbed to a comfortable 15-20 degree. With good company, fantastic weather, great food and birds, we thoroughly enjoyed Northern Thailand in winter especially at the peak of cherry blossom .

- Weather was cold especially at the mountain in the early morning.
- Some area especially at Doi Lang has no dining and toilet facility.
- Have identity card ready (driver’s licence at least ) especially at the military check point near the border.
