Ruddy Kingfisher at Berlayar Creek Boardwalk in Singapore
I first saw the beautiful resident race of purple-ish Ruddy Kingfisher in Rainforest Discovery Center RDC in East Sabah in October 2011. It is common in the under-storey of the mangrove and Nipah palm forest around the coast of Borneo. This particular bird was feeding near the fresh water pond.
